Sagar Ratna opens in Faridabad


Faridabad Aone News/ Dinesh Bhardwaj :Thirty two years ago, Jayaram Banan made a humble beginning with the first South Indian vegetarian Restaurant — SagarRatna in Defence Colony market. Today, he stands tall as the undisputed ‘Dosa King’ reigning supreme with 90 plus outlets across12 states.

Sagar Ratna , the epitome of authentic South Indian food now creates ripples in Faridabad by opening its outlet in the iconic mall of Faridabad – Crown Plaza. Strategically located in the vicinity of Ajronda Mor Metro Station, this new outlet is done up in contemporary yet traditional South Indian themed décor with a large idol of Lord Ganesha at the entrance.

The 62 cover restaurant is all set to take the foodies by storm with its mouth watering preparations.

The restaurant serves the food aficionados with a variety of South Indian vegetarian delicacies in the most hygienic conditions. There are a host of dosas, vadas, idlis ,uttapamas cooked in pure oil and ghee. The chutney sambar and rasam have just the right proportion of ingredients to tickle every palate. The thali is a mouth-watering combo of different vegetable preparations along with pickles, sweetened yogurt and crispy papads.

Along with the all-time favourites like   Dahi Vada, Rava Onion Masala Dosa, Traditional South Indian Thali and more , Sagar Ratna will also feature new introductions, namely   Idli ChaatPodi Idlis, Chettinad Dosa, Ghee Roast Garlic Pepper Dosa. Idli Chaat is a hot selling item amongst the foodies. These are crispy mini sized idlis dipped in sweetened curd , flavoured with roasted cumin  powder, mint chutney, traditional imli sonth , garnished with boondi, pomegranate seeds),

Authentic South Indian vegetarian delicacies have been the forte of Sagar Ratna. The nascent coffee taste emanating from the filter coffee is another specialty which Sagar Ratna offers as native as south Indian homes. Moreover, being served in the traditional steel dabra adds the authentic flavor of this concoction.

Sagar Ratna offers a refreshed beverage menu with summer coolers like Nojitos, Sparkling Sodas, Ice Tea in a variety of flavors. Badam milk is another hot favourite with the guests here. Also their intriguingly named dessert Gudbud Sundae, is a must try.
